The Internet Media initiative focuses on creating next-generation Internet media-based technologies for consumers' business and entertainment needs. IAL seeks to maximize the PCs performance by creating the richest multimedia experience possible, combining any computer and network connection.
IAL has a proven track record of launching important new multimedia technologies, many of which have evolved into industry standards. Most recently, IAL laid the groundwork for delivering MMXTM technology to offer an enhanced multimedia experience as part of the Pentium® processor.
As part of its Internet Media initiative, IAL is working with industry leaders in a number of technology areas -- networking, audio, video, graphics, and imaging -- to advance the development of multimedia capabilities. Ultimately, the delivery of rich multimedia over the Internet will provide value to business as well as create exciting and compelling experiences for consumers.
